Event Description:

This course aims to provide an opportunity for new, or aspiring, HMs to get a better insight into the challenges and opportunities that the role will hold. With several different speakers sharing their experiences and top tips, there will be case studies and scenarios to discuss and plenty of time for questions..

  • Foundations: Getting the basics right
  • A day in the life of an HM
  • What the first year looks like
  • Panel question time

Event Outcomes:

  • to raise awareness of key issues of importance to HMs and how to address these effectively
  • to provide opportunities to discuss experiences and good practice with colleagues
  • to increase confidence and competence in dealing with the challenges of being an HM
