Event Description:

This PE TeachMeet offers an opportunity for PE staff to informally share ideas and good practice on the non-exam assessment (NEA) aspect of the new GCSE and A Level. It also provides a way to build a support network amongst local and partnership schools.

TeachMeets are a great way for local educationalists to meet, discuss ideas and share best practice. They aim to engage and inspire fellow colleagues. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled, a teaching resource they love, a great website, a new activity - whatever you like! We would like people to come with ideas to share through an informal talk from 2 to 5 minutes, either individually or as a group. No idea or example is too small. An electronic whiteboard will be available and we would ask that if you would like to present your ideas please email these in advance to: sasha.mead@edgbarrowschool.co.uk

Event Outcomes:
  • To share good practice and support each other with the new requirements of Physical Education NEA Alevel /GCSE
  • To circulate a range of ideas and good practice on teaching and assessing the NEA aspect of the new A Level/GCSE to take back into the classroom.
  • A chance to network with other PE staff
  • To expand knowledge in this area so that participants can implement this in their schools
